This Auckland property featured an attractive brick facade and expansive country outlook, but the arrival area lacked structure. Raw gravel spilled into bare ground, old timber sleepers had deteriorated, and existing planting did little to frame the home.
The brief was clear: create an inviting, intentional entrance with lasting curb appeal that softens the brickwork, tolerates full sun, and remains simple to maintain year-round.
The design introduces crisp steel edging to define the gravel forecourt, paired with layered drifts of aromatic French Lavender, seasonal Hydrangeas for colour, and hardy Lomandra 'Lime Tuff' for evergreen texture — all protected with dark bark mulch for clean weed suppression.
